New Hatters signing, Albert Sambi Lokonga has suggested that his new side need to be smarter in order to win more games.
The Belgian midfielder signed for Arsenal in 2021 for £17 million from Anderlecht and has gone onto make 25 appearances.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace where he only made 9 appearances for the Eagles.
Mikel Arteta has labelled the midfielder as intelligent and mature, so is clearly highly rated at the Gunners.
A deadline day move to Kenilworth Road will see him spend the season with Rob Edwards’ side.
What has Albert Sambi Lokonga said?
His experience last season may have benefited him: “I have experience because I’ve been on loan at Palace so I know we need to grab every point that we can.”
As a player that has played for Arsenal and Anderlecht, he knows how to win on a regular basis.

On winning matches, he said: “If it’s winning, if it’s sometimes draw some games, but we need to be smart and we need to be in front of the goal, ruthless.”
Despite not officially signing until after the game, Lokonga watched the West Ham United game.
When discussing the game he said: “It was not a bad performance, we were that close to coming back in the game, then that second goal killed the momentum.
“Even after the one goal we scored, we still had chances to come back in the game.”
For wins to come, Lokonga has a theory: “We need to believe every time and need to have the fans behind us to push every day and every game.”
It is a great attitude for him to have and with that he should fit in well with the Hatters’ squad.
