Luton Town have announced their biggest signing to date, with the acquisition of Ross Barkley on a free transfer.
Premier League debutants and new-boys Luton Town have just confirmed their latest summer reinforcement.
Former Everton and Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has joined the club for free after leaving Nice after a disappointing spell.
The Hatters snapped up the England international on a free, just in time for their Premier League bow on Saturday against Europa League side Brighton.
The midfielder spent eight years with the Toffees and then four years at Chelsea following his big money move.
He also has an impressive 33 international caps for England although it has been a while since his last.

Barkley joins Luton
Barkley becomes Luton’s eighth incoming of the season but could arguably become their star player instantly.
Barkley spoke following the move to Luton club media, explaining his decision he said:
“Why Luton? Going from the Conference to the Premier League is a great story and for me personally to be back in the Premier League, it’s great motivation.
“I’m still relatively young and over the last couple of years I’ve not played as much as I’d have liked.
“But I’ve reserved a lot of energy and looked after myself, so it’s great to be here now as I’ve got a lot to show but I’m ready and feeling motivated.”
His arrival is one which has been praised by Rob Edwards who is happy for a player with such quality.
“Ross brings loads of experience at the top level, has international experience and brings an x-factor.
“He gives us something different, he has that ability to make something out of nothing and we need that in the Premier League. He’s got all the tools required to make a difference for us.
“It’s really exciting for the football club. We want the fans to be excited and they should be about Ross’ arrival.”
