Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has suggested that two players caught his eye in Luton’s defeat to Fulham last weekend.

Town manager Rob Edwards has been vocally impressed by his two on-loan aces in Arsenals Albert Sambi Lokonga and Manchester City’s Issa Kabore following Luton defeat to Fulham.

The game saw Lokonga make his Luton bow, after having two weeks to embed himself into the club.

The 23-year-old started alongside Marvelous Nakamba in midfield and had 31 touches boasting an 82% pass completion rate.

Kabore also impressed as he had his best game in a Luton shirt to date, sending countless brilliant crosses into the box.

He also came close to score a goal of his own which Edwards was particularly impressed by.

What Edwards said

As reported by Luton Today, Edwards was full of praise for these two.

On Lokonga, Edwards remarked: “I thought he was excellent.

“His use of the ball was good, his work-rate was very good as well.

“He’s an intelligent footballer and will give us some really nice balance between defensive solidity and then also some really good football as well, so I’m very pleased with him.”

Edwards then discussed Kabore who he praised for his crossing and potential goal opportunity.

“There were some moments, his cross for Browny’s chances and Locks one as well, so some good little bits in the final third from Issa.

“We know what he’s got, he’s a real threat with his speed, so I was pleased with a lot of the individual performances to be honest.”
