Luton Town are showing an interest in Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek as he looks for a move away from Old Trafford.
The 26-year old signed for the Red Devils, from Ajax, in August 2020 for a fee in the region of £35 million.
In his time at Old Trafford he has gone onto make 60 appearances across all competitions, only starting in six Premier League games for United.
In an attempt to reinvigorate his career in England, the Dutchman went on loan to Everton.
It didn’t work out as he only featured in seven games and scored just once.
He was a top class player in there, in his time at Ajax he was one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe.
He is now linked to Rob Edwards’ Luton side.
Why do Luton Town want Donny van de Beek?
While in Amsterdam, van de Beek was part of a great side who managed to reach a shock Champions League semi final.
The 2018/19 season is when the Dutchman was at his peak.
Sitting in a dynamic midfield including Frenkie de Jong and Lasse Schone.

This team went on to beat Real Madrid and Juventus on their way to a semi final place.
If it wasn’t for a 96th Lucas Moura winner, a trip to the final in Madrid was looking likely.
Despite not featuring in many games in the last few years, he does provide plenty of experience.
He will add a grit and determination to the Hatters’ midfield alongside an element of versatility which will be very useful.
Able to play as a defensive midfielder, a box to box or a number ten, he would be a very good player for a young, inexperienced squad.
His tackling is his key ability, pressing from the front and trying to win the ball high up the pitch.
Despite his struggles with injuries, a potential loan could be beneficial.
With Allan Campbell and Luke Freeman both departing the club, an incoming midfielder is needed. Van de Beek could be that man.
