Hatters’ target waiting for ‘dream move’ away from Premier League

It appears that Luton Town target, Japhet Tanganga, is holding out for a move to Inter Milan over a Premier League move.

Lyall Thomas has reported that the Englishman is aware of interest from Luton and Everton, but want to sign at Inter.

AC Milan had shown interest in the defender, but a move never materialised.

Waiting around may put off Premier League suitors and see Tanganga without gametime.

The issue for him comes with Inter’s heavy interest in Benjamin Pavard with a deal heavily rumoured.

The Frenchman is an experienced defender who has played a starting role in a World Cup, Champions League and many Bundesliga title wins.

If the Bayern Munich defender moves to San Siro, Tanganga will not be needed.

Should Luton Town sign Japhet Tanganga?

The Tottenham man would be a good signing on paper for Rob Edwards‘ side.

A centre back who can play right back, would fit ideally on the right hand side of a back three.

Likely to come on a reduced fee, with Spurs looking to let go of him, it could be a clever move.

A man with plenty of Premier League experience, at the top end of the table, could be invaluable moving forward.

At 24-years old he is a young defender with pace, strength and an eye for a pass. All this, alongside his versatility, he could be a useful player.

On the flip side, a player who doesn’t appear to want to join Luton isn’t who the club typically signs.

If Tanganga wants to sign for Inter in a ‘dream move’ and put Edwards on the back burner, leave him be.

The Hatters operate by signing hungry players with a point to prove, who want to play for the club.

Although the Spurs man definitely has a point to prove, if he doesn’t want to come to Kenilworth Road, move on.

Targets like Axel Tuanzebe are very similar and would arguably be a better signing, especially on a free transfer.
