New Luton Town goalkeeper Tim Krul has been speaking out following his move from Norwich City.
The 35-year-old has signed for Luton on a permanent basis after five years with the Canaries.
Krul has plenty of experience to add to the Hatters’ squad.
He has been part of three sides to earn promotion to the Premier League.
Making his mark on the international stage, he has made 15 appearances for the Netherlands.

His crowning moment for the Oranje being against Costa Rica. Being subbed into a penalty shootout, then made two saves.
What has Tim Krul said?
Speaking to Luton Town, he spoke about the club and its meteoric rise: “The story of Luton Town speaks for itself, the last nine years has been an amazing journey and I’m excited to join that journey.”
This goes to show the name of this club is on the rise. Players want to get involved with the project.
It seems that the prospect of playing with former teammates and friends is a beneficiary for Krul.
Talking about this fact he said: “I spoke to Carlton Morris and he spoke very highly about what’s happening at this club.
“I know Thomas Kaminski as well, it’s good to speak a bit of Dutch Flemish to him.”
Despite this friendship, the Dutchman isn’t coming to sit and watch this season: “It’s so important to have competition for places, if you look at the Premier League teams, they have lots of competition for spots and it should be no different here.”
What has Rob Edwards said about Tim Krul?
Clearly Krul is coming to play Premier League football for the first time since 2022.
The Hatters manager, Rob Edwards has said: “Tim’s a leader and a top goalkeeper who is still very and ambitious and very hungry. He wants to play.”
The keeper’s experience and ambition is clearly a key factor in his signing: “It’s great to have someone of his level in the group with that ambition and to be that driven, and it’s going to add great competition to the goalkeeper department, which is what we’ve wanted.”
Edwards also wanted to keep the unity within his squad by bringing in good characters.
“I’m really pleased because he’s a good person, with great experience of this level which is important for us.”
“He’s a great guy, a proper bloke, who has an air of confidence”
Luton are happy with the signing and with their 10 signings as a whole.
