Tom Lockyer has discussed Luton Town’s defeat to Fulham and the goal that saw the home side take the lead.
The home side dominated possession throughout the game but it was the Hatters who arguably created the better chances.
First, it was Jacob Brown smashing a header off the post after an Issa Kabore cross landed right on the postage stamp.
Amari’i Bell had a chance from less than six yards out to take the lead, just three minutes into the second half. Jacob Brown’s cross put the ball on a plate and Bell had to score.
Less than 15 minutes later, Carlos Vinicius opened the scoring after Thomas Kaminski parried the ball and the Brazilian tapped in.
A 1-0 loss on the road left the Hatters with no points yet again, but another positive performance on the whole.

What has Tom Lockyer said?
There is no doubt that Fulham are a good side and given their performances last season they do pose a challenge.
On the Town’s opponents, the Welshman said: “A tough place to come, they were top 10 last year, tough team.
“We had a gameplan that we worked on over the international break and I think you can see we put into effect.”
The issue comes when chances aren’t taken and small mistakes are made in games with a tight scoreline.
On the goal conceded, Lockyer wasn’t happy: “A sloppy, sloppy goal which was incredibly frustrating.
“It’s frustrating that we couldn’t see out their opportunity for their goal as I didn’t really feel threatened.”
He also felt the same way about chances missed: “There’s Amari’i’s chance which could be a goal, I had a great opportunity at the end, which although it was flashed to me, I want to be trying to hit the target at least.
“It’s not easy at this level, there’s some really good players.”
With all this being said, there was one decision which took its toll: “It’s obviously a stonewall penalty on Carlton.”
A tough defeat to take, but another step in the right direction as a whole, Wolverhampton Wanderers come next.
