Rob Edwards has come out against Garth Crooks’ comments about Luton Town and didn’t appear pleased with the pundit.
Crooks wrote about Luton’s survival chances in a weekly team of the week segment for the BBC.
Despite writing his piece about West Ham United’s Kurt Zouma, the pundit took the opportunity to take a cheap shot at the Hatters.
Town have lost all three of their games so far this season but against tough opposition.
With games against Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea and West Ham, there was no guarantee of any points.

In his article, Crooks said: “They (Luton) are just making up the Premier League numbers.
“I can’t take them seriously and see them down by Christmas.”
After just three games, this seems a bit out of pocket.
What has Rob Edwards said about Garth Crooks?
When discussing the pundits view, Edwards said: “I think after three games it is disrespectful. It does hurt when you hear comments like that. When people tell you that, it’s hard to shy away from it.”
It will be a tough acclimatisation process, but the Hatters have got to grow into the competition.
When discussing the league, he said: “At this level in the Premier League you’re going to be shot at, people are going to have their opinions.
“I suppose that’s what he’s paid to do but I think it was a disrespectful comment.”
It is clear that this comment from Crooks wasn’t liked by Edwards at all.
Despite this, the manager isn’t naïve to the challenges ahead: “We’ve experienced the ruthless nature of the league. We’ve had some tough games but we’ve learnt a lot.
“We have to learn that we can’t give any gifts away, be more compact, resilient and to defend the box very well, but be more ruthless in transitional moments.”
It has been a tough start for Luton, but with these comments, they will only fuel the Hatters and Edwards.
