Thomas Kaminski believes that the signing of fellow goalkeeper, Tim Krul, will help him perform even better for Luton Town.
The Belgian keeper signed for the Hatters in deal reported to be less than £3 million this summer.
He has played both of Town’s opening Premier League fixtures and is set for a season as Rob Edwards’ number one.
Krul too signed for the Hatters this summer, yet to feature in the Premier League but made his debut against Gillingham in the EFL Cup.
The Dutchman has made 222 appearances in the league and will be hopeful of nailing down a number one spot over Kaminski.
What has Thomas Kaminski said about Tim Krul?
The keeper signed from Blackburn Rovers was relishing the chance to share a squad with Krul.
Despite thoughts of unhappiness due to competition for a starting role, everything seems well at Kenilworth Road.
This wasn’t a thought in Kaminski’s mind: “If I’m really honest, I used to watch him when I was younger.
“Tim is a big name and has lots of experience, I’m sure he will help us and even more, it will help me a lot.”
Clearly there is admiration between the players, something which can only benefit Luton.
When asked about the squad Kaminski was happy: “I am enjoying it, it’s a good group, the lads are all together and I think that’s also massive to achieve something this season.”
Against Chelsea, the Belgian was somewhat pleased with his performance.
Conceding three isn’t ideal, but he made several top saves.

On this point the keeper said: “I’m pleased but you like to keep clean sheets and you like to make more saves.
“There’s always some aspects where you can improve, but for me, I get on well with the defence, I can connect well with the defence and that’s really important.”
As the team builds and comes closer together as a unit, results will come for the Hatters and with Kaminski and Krul there is a great base.
