Luton Town’s new midfielder Chiedozie Ogbene wants his new teammates to show more arrogance moving forward in the Premier League.

The Irishman signed from Rotherham United this summer, he has only featured in 39 minutes across three games.

The Hatters have lost all three of their opening games against Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea and West Ham United.

The next match sees Rob Edwards’ side travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.

The upcoming fixtures provide Luton with plenty of chance to get some points on the board that is for sure.

With Fulham, Wolves, Everton and Burnley coming up, Hatters fans can be hopeful of a positive few weeks.

What has Chiedozie Ogbene said?

There were promising signs from the West Ham game. On another day the Hatters come away from the game with a point.

On the most recent defeat, the Irishman said: “If you look at our performance from the first game, Brighton, Chelsea to now, I think we’re improving and we’re improving very quickly.

“It was a very good West Ham team, but myself, and the players and the manager, we don’t want to celebrate losses.”

It is a positive mindset from everyone involved with Luton right now.

“That’s the mentality we have and hopefully with this break, we can come back with a bit more arrogance to the game.

“We respect teams, but we have to believe that we are good enough for this league and we have shown it.”

It is clear that losses won’t be accepted and being happy with them won’t last forever.

When discussing their chances in the Premier League moving forward, the Irishman said: “In terms of capability, we are more than capable.

“You’ve seen it in glimpses in games, but we need to turn those glimpses into more consistency, 45 minutes of domination.”

Hopefully with this mindset, moving forward, points can be secured sooner rather than later.
