Jacob Brown wants doesn’t want to lose games and is striving to win as many games as possible this season.

Brown joined Luton Town from Stoke City this summer and made his debut for the club in the opening Premier League game.

A 4-1 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion was a moment to bring the Hatters back down to Earth, but hasn’t crushed spirits.

If anything the loss has had a positive effect on the squad.

Rob Edwards didn’t want to champion losing matches, but was still happy with the overall performance.

Brown had similar feelings around the game to his manager.

What has Jacob Brown said?

The forward didn’t want to take the defeat badly and let it effect his own or his teammates’ performances.

Talking about the journey that saw Town get to this point he said: “We’ve all worked hard to get into this position and we’ve just got to embrace it, not be scared of any opposition we come up against and just give it our all.”

This attitude is of a winner which was followed with a statement of intent: “No-one’s happy to lose the game, but there’s definitely a lot of positives to take.”

Looking back on the game Brown felt that his side played well and went toe to toe with the Europa League outfit for large portions.

The issues came when concentration dropped: “We’ve just got to learn from the fact that if we switch off for a couple of seconds you’ll get punished by these teams.

“The main thing is you just can’t switch off.”

The Hatters are favourites for relegation this season, a factor that the former Stoke man is using to his advantage: “People might have their doubts and we might be underdogs.

“We’re going to be giving it all that we’ve got and I know that everyone’s going to be working super hard.

The attitude and work ethic that Edwards has instilled at Kenilworth Road is top class and travelling to Chelsea with this mindset, an upset could be on the cards.
