Luton Town are facing competition from Sheffield United and now, Real Betis, for the signing of free agent Axel Tuanzebe.
The former Manchester United man is now in talks with the La Liga side over a move.
As a free agent he has been chased by various clubs with Luton looking to make Tuanzebe their 13th signing of the summer.
Despite the transfer window being closed, as a free agent, the Englishman is able to sign after the window.
Sheffield United and Ipswich Town are also showing concrete interest in the defender.
Should Luton Town sign Axel Tuanzebe?
Tuanzebe had been at United since 2014 as part of their youth team set ups.
He made 37 senior appearances for the Reds while also having five loan spells away from the club.
Aston Villa is where he played his best football, despite only making 39 appearances over the course of three seasons.
The Englishman was a key member of their squad as they achieved promotion to the Premier League.

His career never kicked on from that moment, finding himself at Stoke City last season.
This being said, he is a quick, clever and astute player.
Given Premier League game time he could find his feet and realise his potential.
With the options that Luton currently have, he does add something different in terms of play style and experience.
He is also able to play as a right back in a back four.
This gives Rob Edwards the opportunity to operate with a more defensive back line.
He also has the Guinness World Record for clearing a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos the fastest. So that is interesting isn’t it.
If they can get this deal over the line he will fit in line with the transfer policy that Luton have adopted so far.
Betis will be stern competition but they should try and get this deal over the line.
