Luton Town seem to be closing in on a move to sign Hannibal Mejbri on-loan from Manchester United before the season starts.

The Hatters are in search of their seventh signing this summer as they gear up for an unprecedented Premier League campaign.

So far the most important signing to arrive at Kenilworth Road has been Ryan Giles who joined from Wolves.

Giles joined Mads Andersen and Marvelous Nakamba along with Issa Kabore on-loan.

Another arrival was one that Luton’s latest target will be familiar with as the two are products of Manchester United’s academy.

Tahith Chong was joined last season by Hannibal at Birmingham City as well which will have only improved the two’s relationship.

Luton have loan accepted for Hannibal

According to Mahmoud Missaoui who is a Moroccan journalist, Manchester United have accepted a loan offer from Luton Town for Hannibal.

It is however also added that the player has yet to make his decision with there said to be multiple other clubs interested.

These include Hannibal’s former club Monaco along with Rennes and Feyenoord who have all been in contact with the players agent.

With Hannibal’s likely long-term goal to play for United, Luton can offer Hannibal his best chance to do this.

Performing well in the Premier League for for Luton would be a huge statement for him and could have him in good stead to stake his claim for a United spot.

The midfielder has already shown himself to be above the level of Championship football.

Gaining praise on his Birmingham City expedition with John Eustace heralding him as ‘phenomenal’.
