Chiedozie Ogbene believes that Luton Town are moving in the right direction despite a draw against 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Hatters began the game on the front foot. They were unfortunate not to be ahead early on with several shots blocked.
It looked to be the Hatters’ day when Jean-Ricner Bellegarde was sent off for lashing out at Tom Lockyer.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, the away side took the lead through a wonderful Pedro Neto solo goal.
The hosts got their equaliser 15 minutes later. Issa Kabore’s cross was handled by Joao Gomes and Carlton Morris dispatched the penalty.
The final whistle came and a first point of the season for Luton came with it. A disappointing result given the circumstances, but a point nonetheless.

What has Chiedozie Ogbene said?
The Irishman made his first start for the club following his move from Rotherham United this summer.
The forward has been praised for a positive performance by fans. This is despite not being able to contribute to a winning goal.
Discussing the Hatters, Ogbene said: “I think the performance was very good. We started on the front foot, put a lot of pressure towards their defence and put them on the back foot.
“We just need to be more clinical with the chances we created today.”
The away side’s goal may a piece of solo magic. Even so, it should have been dealt with by one of the Hatters’ back line.
The Irishman shared this view: “I haven’t seen it back but I’m sure the defenders will be critical of themselves, conceding such a goal like that when you’re on top.”
With that being said, he believes it is better: “I think it’s a step forward from where we’ve been, especially from the start of the season.
“The mentality is if you can’t win, you don’t lose. And that’s what we did today.”
The start of the game was so good from the Hatters but the game ebbed away from them.
Ogbene believes this will be the difference: “I think if we can finish the game the way we started, we will give ourselves a right good chance in this league.”
A point is something to be happy with, getting themselves on the board for the season, just need to get that win next.
