Luton Town left back Ryan Giles believes there are ‘positives to take’ from the 4-1 Brighton and Hove Albion loss.
Giles joined the Hatters from Wolverhampton Wanderers and made his debut at the AMEX in the opening weekend.
His side went 2-0 down before a Carlton Morris penalty got them back into the game.
It was potentially ignorance and inexperience to the league which saw the last 10 minutes collapse.
Speaking after the game, Giles wasn’t disheartened by the result as he felt they had something to take forward.
What has Ryan Giles said?
“We’re disappointed with the result, but as cliché as it probably sounds, I think we can take positives.”
This is the type of attitude the Hatters need to carry with them. Not all games will go their way and they need to be prepared for it.
He felt that this would benefit them moving forward, saying: “It’s just a learning curve, probably the last 10-15 minutes when you come up against the best teams like this they will punish you.”
The difference between Premier League and Championship is one they are going to have to figure out quickly.
Rob Edwards has clearly instilled a positive mindset in his side which is rubbing off on his players.

“Mistakes will happen this year and the best teams will punish us so it’s a case of sticking together as new members of the group, we’re learning every day, this is our first game so we can take a lot of positives from it.
“We’ve got to keep learning, keep progressing and hopefully have a successful season.”
The Luton players are taking every game as it comes and learning all the time, its all about their next fixture and getting points on the board.
