Luton Town have lost their first three Premier League games but Rob Edwards, players and fans are still positive for the season ahead.

The first game against Brighton and Hove Albion, despite a heavy 4-1 loss, had many positives to take, especially from the first half.

The second game wasn’t as good, but away to Chelsea it was always going to be a difficult affair.

In the latest game, the first at Kenilworth Road was the best game yet, with good chances and West Ham were pushed until the last.

On another day, the Hatters get a penalty and they get their first point of the season.

Fans are still very positive about the season.

Why should Luton Town fans still be positive?

With The Kenny reopening, Luton’s home is back and bouncing once again.

Even if Garth Crooks can not see it, this place will drag them to many wins this season.

Discussing the season so far Ollie Kay from the We Are Luton Town Podcast, outlined reasons to be happy at this early stage.

When discussing Kenilworth Road he said: “The Kenny’s first night in the Premier League was sensational. Unfortunately we weren’t able to grab our first points of the campaign.

“We should focus on the positivity around Luton’s start to the season as we enter the international break.”

It is a squad consisting of lots of new players and as a result will take time.

The international break poses the perfect chance to develop relations within the Hatters’ squad.

This point was an important for Kay: “The entire squad has to reflect on their introduction to Premier League football.

“A lot of them hadn’t played it before, but now they have a good idea of what they are up against.”

Luton have played less games than most and are one of five teams not to win a game, so they aren’t as out on there own as reported.

Kay explained this point: “Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Everton and Burnley, who like us, have played one fewer game than the rest of the division

“We are one of five teams that are yet to win in the Premier League.”

Edwards’ side have also played three top teams and wouldn’t necessarily be expected to win, so results aren’t so surprising.

Kay believes the side can be judged after their next run: ” We can now look forward to three, potentially four, matches against teams that could very well be scrapping in the bottom half of the table.”

There is plenty to be happy and positive about at Luton, judge them at the end of the season, not after three close fought losses.
